All Saints Church

Almost December and a cold evening saw the quire performing at All Saints Church Broseley. The first half was a selection of West Gallery Songs and Tunes the second half Christmas, early I know, but as always quire members sang them with enthusiasm.

The Village Band played well.

Croft Castle

A day at Croft Castle with only two quire members unable to make it through one of the wettest starts to a day this year. Our singing did bring out the sun and a wonderful light on which to end the day.

The quire performed three songs and a band tune every hour in the castles Blue Room, what a wonderful venue.

                          Sunday 14th October 2018

Englesea Brook Concert

On an unusually hot traditional English June Summer afternoon and evening the quire performed at Englesea Brook Chapel to a good sized audience.

|Cream Teas were served on the lawn before the concert and cupa teas after, wonderful, just what the quire likes.

There was a lack of tenors, we normally have five, BUT Richard the sole male tenor supported by Lyn was in good voice and they excelled themselves for which the quire members were very grateful. Bryan the quire master supported them where he was able, Bryan is a bass singer when not conducting.

Success

Success! The day turned out well, no snow, so an enjoyable afternoon was spent celebrating  Isabella's birthday and years given to West Gallery Music. So it was a month later than planned but still a success.

The rehearsal was well attended and the quire was joined by former quire members and members of Shropshire Harmony, who added some great bassoon playing and also boosted the alto section.

Refreshments also went down well, no surprise there.

15th April 2018 Rehearsal will be at Albrighton Methodist Church 13.00 to 17.00.
