A very well attended and enjoyable performance.

Members of the Quire taking the performance very seriously.

They were not the only ones.

And the Village Band played well

So did the Serpent

Ford Shropshire

A summer afternoon concert at Ford church. The concert was well attended and enjoyed by a very supportive audience. After the performance a tasty spread of warm excellent soups, and buffet food was provided by the organisers followed by a large selection of puddings and cakes.

Once again the quire was hidden behind a Rood Screen but sang and played with gusto thanks to our enthusiastic quire master.

In 1780 John Wesley said  "Sing lustily and with a good courage. Beware of singing as if you were half dead, or half asleep." and our Quire Master made a very enthusiastic effort to get the Quire doing just that.

We think he earned his keep.

All seemed happy.

Clunbury

The Quire performed an afternoon concert in the lovely village of Clunbury. We were made very welcome and provided fine refreshments after the concert.

The performance was West Gallery Music through the year, with some historic facts given by members of the quire.

A very well attended concert.
