Acton Scott Heritage Farm

The first of our Harvest performances took place at Acton Scott Heritage Farm’s harvest weekend, set in a stunning pastoral Shropshire setting. The quire performed five half hour sessions on a sunny autumn day, high on a hill ‘Under the Greenwood Tree’ beneath mature oak trees in harmony, mostly we hope, with nature.

Ratlinghope St Margarets

On a perfect, sunny afternoon the quire sang at St Margarets. the event was well attended in this lovely rural setting.

Then after the performance the good people of Ratlinghope treated every one to an alfresco afternoon tea in the beautiful church yard and its surroundings.

‘Old Foster’ performed by the quire, one of their favourites.

Ratlinghope and St Margarets are known for the resting place of the last Sin Eater, Richard Munslow who died in 1906. So the quire stepped out of its West Gallery music to sing a contemporary piece, Sin Eater with the kind permission of John Kirkpatrick the composer.
